Prezi Customer Reviews (1)
Prezi is a popular tool that can be used to make slides and presentations.
No more boring PowerPoint slides with silly animation and using this tool certainly helps make your presentations stand out and most importantly: memorable!
Pros of Prezi
New and Unique
Most people use the same software when creating a presentation. Prezi offers you a chance to do something different and unique. I was tired of making the same type of presentation with the same tools with limited options over and over again.
After giving Prezi a shot, I recall my boss started to applaud (which was very unlike him!) He instructed every sales person to use Prezi from that point onwards.
Images Don’t Pexilate
If you ever had to prepare a presentation at work then you know that images often become distorted. This rarely happens with Prezi. It’s one of the main reasons I stick with it as I can trust the software to deliver high-quality images. I can now add images without worry about their quality significantly dropping.
Non-Linear Slides
The traditional presentation is linear. This means it goes from slide A to slide B in a linear fashion. Most presentations you’ll ever see will be linear.
Prezi, however, has the tools and animations to make your slides and presentations non-linear as each slide seems to "fly" into the next which adds a new dimension to them and makes them more interesting.
Cons of Prezi
Adding Audio Can be Difficult
I’ve experienced some difficulties with adding and playing audio on Prezi. While it’s solid when images are added, at times audio does not play which can be an issue.
Requires Training
This is a con but also something that makes it special. Most people won’t be able to use Prezi the moment they download it. You’re going to have to work with it before you can figure out how to go about creating a presentation the way you want.
For people who don’t have time, this might not be the best software to use.
On the other hand, it’s great because it means your presentations won’t be easily copied by others.
Extra Costs
The Pro account costs over $10/month. It’s hard having to choose between paying or settling for fewer tools and options but those are free.
